Countdown to Honduras

For those of you keeping track, we leave for Honduras tonight (Monday) at 7:15 to head for Detroit and stay the night.

Maybe my presence in the "Big D" will help the Tigers get under control and actually score some points - heck they could even win a game if they wanted too and that would be okay.

So it's noon and I'm just starting to pack. Nothing like last minute, but whose counting.

I am so excited. There will be so much to see and do!! Can't wait to go..

The star is where we will flying into and then driving two hours southeast to the orphanage to the city that starts with a T... too long for me to remember right now.

Happy Birthday Mason!!!

April 5th was Mason's 6th birthday. We had a transformer themed party for him.
The cake was delicious. - He wanted chocolate. So chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and chocolate filling. Of course, transformers were on the top of it. In case you are not up on your transformer names that is Optimus Prime on top of his cake..

Opening presents. He got some books, a Bumblebee transformer, some new pajamas for the summer and a bike helmet. He also got a new bike from mom and dad.
Blowing out the candles. "can we just skip it and cut the cake already"..
Swinging at the pinata, which eventually broke with some adult help. It was filled with candy. The kids were on standby to fill their bags with the goodies. It was good to have a nice day - in the 60s to be outside in. The sunshine felt so nice.

Happy birthday Mason. You are an intelligent, amazing, and handsome young man. I cannot wait to see what more you become when you are already so great.. Love you, Mom.
