My Boys.

So, just when you think the boat isn't rocking and there is smooth sailing your children go and throw out that anchor and Whoosh the boat comes to a complete halt.

My kids are generally pretty good, but this last Wednesday they were so naughty... I'm not going to get into specifics but lets just say the two months of fun things taken away is probably not all that unreasonable... Makes me feel like such a mean parent, but I keep running through all those things that you hear people say - "They'll thank you for it later" - and trying to reassure myself that in the end they will turn out okay.

Those two, I'll tell you what, when they get together they can definately cause some trouble. This incident involved a neighbor that we were pretty good friends with and having to bring them over there to apologize to him was, to say the least, a little embarrassing..

I don't think those boys have ever seen their mother really mad - I mean REALLY mad until Wednesday and I think that was a little "lesson" for them as well.

Anyway - they seem to be taking their punishment well and so far have learned their lesson.

I love my boys, but man they can be naughty.

I killed the Easter Bunny

First of all can I just say - I officially hate snow... Its almost the end of March.. Moving on..

Went to Target today with my mom and the boys to shop and hopefully do some stealthy easter basket shopping. Well, that did not turn out so well. I thought I had everything on the down low, but it turns out that my kids pay more attention to me than I thought.

My mom took them to different departments while I went in search of perfect easter basket goodies, that I am sure the easter bunny would have picked out if he had went to Target himself. The kids didn't seem to notice the things I put in the cart. Not alot, but just enough.. Some candy, but then some Pokemon cards and a book to read.

While checking out I made the boys stand by a pole a little ways away from the checkout... Because boys are boys they started immediately messing around and so I had to go over to them to "clarify" some things about their behavior.. Mason says to me "Does that mean you're not getting that stuff in your cart for our Easter baskets". Justin adds "Yeah, Mom I thought that the easter bunny brought us all that stuff anyway"... "So there's no Easter bunny. You're the Easter bunny".. YES I AM!!!.

They seem okay with this. I probably won't find out until later in their lives what trauma I have caused. I'm sure a counselor will be needed in the future.

Sure hope Santa Claus doesn't keel over this year...

Lost a Tooth

Yesterday, Saturday, the boys and I had a date. We went to the movies, saw Horton Hears a Who, which is very funny by the way, and in the middle of the movie Mason lost his second tooth. He had been working steadily on it for about a week, but for whatever reason had not gotten it out yet. So, while taking a drink, he proclaimed "Mom I lost my tooth". The ladies in front of us turned around and said, "Congratulations" and went back to watching the movie. He managed to catch it in his hand. So, he gave it to Mom to hang onto until we got home.

Then, horror of all horrors, the tooth fairy, who by the way brought him 6$ for his first tooth about 3 weeks ago, forgot to come last night..He came into my room this morning just about in tears, but after being told that the tooth fairy must have been really busy, went back to his room and put the tooth on his nightstand so that the tooth fairy would remember to come and get it tonight. ..

I'm pretty sure it was not my turn to play the tooth fairy...

Fisher is very convincing.

Mrs. Fisher are you satisfied now?

SO, we were talking at work about blogging and I thought that would be a great way to instantly get my thoughts down on the cool things that my kids do and say. Little things that I know I want to scrap, but, for whatever reason take the picture and then don't get around to it. I thought it would be cool, Rob could read it and even do some comments of his own.

Here goes nothing -

I picked the name of my blog for two reasons - one is that my first son Justin, has a nickname of Case. We once had him convinced (when he was much younger, like 5), that his middle name was going to be case, instead of Aron.. And thus he would be named Justin Case. Case just stuck. Two - my second, and more adventurous son has a middle name of Garth after my grandpa and seems to be constantly up to mischief... so InCaseof Garth is what I came up with.
